A special group of islands of exceptional beauty, great indented coastline and interesting geomorphology, Kornati National Park, includes a total of 89 islands, islets and cliffs. Heights and viewpoints of Kornati bring special joy and excitement with a beautiful view, and famous „crowns“, a steep cliffs facing the open sea are the uniqueness of these islands. Krka River is a karst phenomena, on its way to the sea forms numerous of lakes, waterfalls and rapids, and on the island of Visovac on the homonymous lake the Franciscan monastery is situated, between two most beautiful waterfalls Roski slap and Skradinki buk. In the area of Zadar is the well known Zrmanja River canyon, one of the most beautiful natural beauties, whose crystal clear waters meander through the 200m deep canyon in which they form beautiful waterfalls.

Due to a particular natural beauty part of the mountain Biokovo above Makarska Riviera is protected and declared as Nature Park. A group of lakes in vicinity of Ploce, Bacinska lakes, consists of six connected and one separated lake, the water is sweet, but there are sources that are directly connected with the sea. The mouth of Neretva, due to the shallow water and rocks, sedges, surrounding meadows and bushes, is important area for fish and bird migrations. Kocje on Korcula, an significant landscape of unique geomorphologic features, rocks, sinks, half-caves, canyons, old oak forest with a ledge of evergreen shrubs, ferns, mosses and lichens, will leave impression on every visitor.
